Ronnie Johnson


     I am an 18-year veteran officer with 12 years with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.  While serving with them I have been assigned additional duties as a Technical Investigator (CSI), Field Supervisor, CID Supervisor, Field Training Officer and Training Instructor, specializing in domestic violence instruction.  I have been certified by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) as a domestic violence instructor and also a state (CLEET) certified basic instructor. In my investigative position, I have investigated all reported intimate partner domestic violence related crimes.


     I am currently a Detective Captain and oversee the Criminal Investigation Division as well as other divisions. I am also a member of the Cleveland County Domestic Violence Task Force, Cleveland County Domestic Violence Coordinated Community Response Team, Cleveland County Sexual Assault Response Team and Cleveland County High Risk Team. I have been endorsed to testify and have testified as an expert witness on Domestic Violence crimes and Domestic Violence Strangulation.


    In 2009, I received the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award for Excellence in Action Against Domestic Violence. In 2017, I was awarded the Domestic Violence Homicide Prevention Award by the Oklahoma Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board.
